1/100 explores the relationship between photography, memory and the passage of time through the personal photographic archive of Leli. Based on Richard Chalfen’s concept of the “measured moment,” the project questions how an entire lifetime can be represented through only a small number of photographic moments. The project involved extensive theoretical research, archival analysis, interviews and practical experimentation, investigating memory, representation, photographic selection and the role of the archive. A key challenge was selecting only 100 images from a lifetime of photographs, acknowledging the gaps and subjectivity created through this process. The final outcome is presented as a flipbook, allowing the 100 photographs to unfold rapidly and create a condensed visual representation of a life, while encouraging the viewer to consider what is remembered, what is forgotten and what is left uncaptured.
