KASIA
This photographic project documents an international DJ, KASIA, exploring shutter drag as a creative technique for translating the energy and chaos of a live environment into an artistic visual experience. The combination of movement, light and long exposures creates images that reflect the intensity and atmosphere of the performance rather than simply documenting it. The shoot presented significant technical challenges due to the low-light venue, heavy use of lasers and constant movement. Extensive research and preparation focused on anticipating these conditions, investigating shutter speeds, angles, movement, lighting and exposure to determine how each could be controlled creatively. The resulting images use motion and light as key visual elements, transforming a hectic environment into an expressive photographic series.
